Australian property owners near the Fitzroy River in central Queensland are being urged to look out for crocodiles.
A local farmer has warned residents to be aware of the animals, which are moving up the river following recent floods.
John Lever, a crocodile farmer from Koorana, told ABC News that the reptiles can be territorial and aggressive and will usually be around at night.
His advice for local Australian property owners includes taking a torch out at night so you can spot them and be aware.
"They are extremely wary animals and to see them during the day, particularly this time of the year, is quite uncommon because they stay in the water," he told the source.
More rain has been forecast in Queensland, following floods earlier this month. Emergency Management Queensland has warned Australian property owners of flash flooding near Mossman Gorge, Josephine Falls, Babinda Boulders and Granite Creek.
