WA preparing for increase of Chinese tourists

Chinese tourists have been urged to visit western Australian by deputy premier Kim Hames.
Individuals looking to relocate to an Australian property could be interested in recent comments from Kim Hames.

According to Xinhuanet, the deputy premier urged Chinese tourists to visit the wide range of sites the area has to offer when looking for a new holiday destination.

His comments come after the minister for health and tourism of western Australia revealed that the majority of visitors prefer to go to the east coast of the country.

In addition, Mr Hames stated that preparations were currently underway for the forecasted increase in Chinese tourists who prefer the shorter travel distance.

Stressing that his state was interested in attracting increased investment, he added: "We would love to see the establishment of tourist facilities and hotels that cater for, specifically, tourists from China."

Australia's Tourism Forecast Committee predicted 6,576 inbound visitor nights for holidays in the western areas of the country this year.
