Simon Gold is one of our esteemed Directors at Australasian Taxation Services. Based in our Sydney office, he is responsible for leading the local team in delivering expert taxation solutions for an array of Australian based clients, recently repatriated clients, as well as foreign investors.

As a highly respected taxation specialist, Simon is recognised for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering client focus. He believes that understanding each client’s unique set of circumstances and fostering long-term relationships are key to delivering exceptional financial outcomes.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. His extensive qualifications also include a Diploma of Financial Planning, SMSF Specialist accreditation, and a Certificate of Public Practice with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). Additionally, he is a Registered Tax Agent and serves as a Justice of the Peace (JP), further demonstrating his commitment to both his profession and community.

Simon is responsible for entity formations, including trusts, companies, and self-managed superannuation funds, as well as overseeing preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for a diverse client base. With prior experience in working internationally with the SMATS Group in London, Simon brings a global perspective to his role and understands firsthand the rewards and challenges of being an expat.

Simon’s expertise is with Family Groups and entity structuring, where he navigates the complexities of taxation, accounting, and ASIC matters for high-net-worth individuals and their associated entities. He ensures his clients’ financial objectives are attained through strategic asset protection, income splitting, tax planning, and the optimal use of investment or trading vehicles.

Beyond his professional achievements, Simon is deeply passionate about giving back to the community. For over 15 years, he has dedicated his time and expertise to multiple charitable causes in both Australia and London, including serving as Honorary Treasurer of a not for profit organisation.
