Emergency services minister Rob Johnson and environment and water minister Bill Marmion have urged residents to take action to prepare themselves for the blazes, Farm Weekly reports.
Mr Johnson suggested there is no time to be complacent after last year's bushfire season, during which many homes were lost and authorities put their lives at risk.
His comments were made to mark the launch of Bushfire Action Week, which will see government agencies commit to prioritising the safety of local communities.
"This season looks set to be just as demanding, with recent rainfalls generating abundant grassland fuels in many areas across the state," Mr Johnson added.
Property owners were asked to leave their homes earlier this week after a bushfire broke out in the North of Perth, with firefighters taking action to ease the blaze, Sky News Australia reported.
