Reminder on solar rebates

The Federal Government is keen to see househols move to a Solar powered Hot Water System and is offering a cash grant.This applies in both ownership and rental situations, so perhaps you should check with you tenant to see if you can help the environment and them out with a Solar Hot Water System.
The Federal Government's Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO) has sent out a reminder about its $1000 rebate on new solar hot water systems, which it says can save a family $300 to $700 off an electricity bill each year.  The rebate is available to both homeowners and renters, provided that:
  • the applicant household is switching from an electric storage hot water system;
  • the dwelling where the hot water system is installed is a principal place of residence; and
  • the applicant's taxable family income is less than $100,000.
